On February 4, 2015, the Appraiser Coach Podcast was launched on iTunes and Stitcher Radio (for Android). On May 25, 2015 we met and surpassed the 10,000 downloads mark! Thank you listeners for helping to make this a booming success. Though I have been distributing pertinent information to real estate appraiser business owners for years now, this is the first time I have done so on a widespread and free format. I would say the chips are in and appraisers nationwide are interested.
Though all of our topics have been received well, some of our more popular episodes include:
004 Increasing Appraisal Volume Without Decreasing Quality
006 Using a Driver for Appraisal Inspections
008 A Conversation with ‘Brian,’ the Wanna be Appraiser
010 Is There a Workfile When you Appraise with Mobile?
012 Can You Use the Subject as a Comparable Sale? (our first Minisode)
014 Your Questions for an AMC Chief Appraiser
My goal with the podcast is simple; share quality information that will help appraisers to stay informed and learn principles of practice that will help them to make more money. Podcasting appears to be the very best format for busy appraisers because it can be listened to on your smartphone as you travel to and from appointments or at your desktop while you are doing write ups. A special thanks to our sponsors (many of whom signed on before the first episode was even dropped):
OREP Insurance/Working RE Magazine
and our newest sponsor for minisodes, ANOW software.
I would be remiss if I did not also thank the many guests who have freely given of their time and knowledge. Our Appraiser Stories series has also proven to be popular and I am always looking for other appraisers who would be willing to share their stories (it can even be done anonymously if you wish). Please drop me a line if you would like to be on the show.
Finally, my biggest amount of gratitude has to go to you, the listeners. You are the ones who have made this happen. Thank you also for sharing the podcast in social media and helping to make other appraisers aware.
Here’s to 10,000 more!
