A Call for Podcast Guests

The Appraiser Coach Podcast has been ‘on the air’ for a little less than a year and already had over 70,000 downloads!  It should come as no surprise.  Appraisers spend a lot of time either in their car or in front of a computer screen.  Podcasts are a natural fit for those of us who like to drive or work with a little noise in the background.

Over the past few months, I have interviewed industry leaders such as Issac Peck, Joan Trice, George Harrison, Ann O’Rourke, Ryan Lundquist, Roy Meyer, David Braun, and others as well as lots of normal appraisers like you and I.  Though I love all those who have been on the show, I would love to hear some other voices.

Do you have something to say?  Do you have a story to tell?  You do not need to be an expert on any one subject.  In fact, many appraisers come on the “Appraiser Stories” episodes just to share a little bit about them and why they got into this crazy business.  Please drop me a line and let’s get together for a conversation.  Come be a guest on the Appraiser Coach Podcast and let your voice be heard!

    1. Good Morning,

I am the pr/marketing assistant for Michael Nix, a commercial and residential appraiser in the Atlanta metro area. I think this podcast would be a great platform for him to speak on his professional organization, AGREA ( Association of Georgia Real Estate Appraisers).

Please let me know if this a possibility and I look forward to speaking with you.

      1. Chasity: Have him drop me a line. I would be happy to talk to him over the phone and see if there is mutual interest.

  2. Dustin –
You and I have spoken in the past about this….

Currently, I teach a 4 hour Continuing Education (CE) Class , approved by California Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers
This class was approved in Dec. 2012 and I have taught it successfully many times in Northern and Southern California.
Here is how I would approach my topic for a PODCAST:

“Residential UAD Review – The Right Way” will can be presented , highlighting all changes to the UAD report , plus all the content / discussion points for Quality, Condition, View and Location ratings since September 2011, the start of the UAD format.

I am the creator and approved instructor for my program “Residential UAD Review – The Right Way”
CA. Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers (formerly OREA) Course Approval No. 1210020001
( I am also a Certified Residential appraiser for NV.)

I also discuss Collateral Underwriter and fatal stops by lenders.

(* As a former Senior Reviewer for a nationwide AMC, I have reviewed over 7000 reports in the last 6 years and have spoken “one on one” to over 800 appraisers. I have seen the good , the bad and the ugly…. and can share vital points on reporting errors)

Let me know if this interests you…

(Calling me to start might be best)

Let me know what you are finding to be the hot-button topics with appraisers today. We can discuss those. I’ll guarantee you, that between the two of us, we’ll find a way to gore somebody’s ox. You might gore one of mine or I might even gore one of yours! In any event, it will be a pleasure to hear from you! My best to you and all of yours!

    AQB-Certified USPAP Instructor

  4. Mr. Harris:

I hold a Certified General License in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. I am a designated SRA and AI-RRS from the Appraisal Institute. Presently I serve on the Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board. If you would like to interview me and we can work out a schedule I will make the time available to work on the interview.
